FAQs
What is your return policy?
100% customer satisfaction is very important to me.
If you are unhappy for any reason with your Lovassion purchase, e-mail me at lovassionjewelry@gmail.com. I am happy to accept returns of unworn pieces in their original packaging within 30 days of receipt with the exception of sale items which are all final sale. I will not accept returns of worn pieces.
Please contact me if you would like a return shipping label so that you can mail your unworn jewelry back.
If you have a damaged or defective item, please reach out to me and I will look into some options for how to best resolve that for you.
Are returns free?
The cost of the shipping label for any return is the customers responsibility.
When businesses offer free return shipping labels what they aren't telling you is that the cost of those shipping fees are built into the price of the product. Instead of charging $60 for a ring and offering free return shipping labels, I charge $30 and deduct return expenses from the refund amount on your order to keep the products we make more accessibly priced.
This method allows my small business to continue to offer reasonably priced styles for all of our customers.
Where do you ship from, and where do you ship to?
I ship from my home office in Toronto, Canada! I ship from Canada to the United States, Australia, Singapore, and United Kingdom. Just choose your country and shipping method at checkout.
I live in Toronto, can I pick up my order?
Yes! You can pick your order up at 65 East Liberty Street. Choose local pickup at checkout. I will email you and assign a scheduled time for you, when you are available for pick up.
Custom, duties, and taxes for international orders
International orders shipping outside of Canada and the United States may be subject to additional customs, duties, and taxes determined by the destination country, order value, and contents.
International customs, duties, and taxes are not included in product prices and or/ shipping cost. These are the buyers responsibility. To determine these costs please check with your country's custom office prior to purchasing. These additional fees may be required to pay before or upon delivery of your order.
Lovassion is not held responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items during transit.
Will my jewelry tarnish?
All plated jewelry will tarnish over time unless it is gold filled, or solid gold. Plating jewelry is a process where a thin layer of gold or silver is electroplated onto a base metal such as brass. Making plated jewelry allows us to offer beautiful pieces at an affordable price point. Anything plated will fade. This can happen as quickly as after 1 week of wear, up to a couple of years, or sometimes never, depending on the care of the pieces and natural body composition.
Because there are so many factors outside of my control when it comes to the lifespan of plated jewelry I cannot guarantee the longevity of a piece. For these reasons, a tarnished or faded piece is not an eligible reason for a return.
If you have any questions about your pieces tarnishing please contact lovassionjewelry@gmail.com and I will be happy to help you out.
What are the care instructions for gold filled, rose gold filled, and sterling silver jewelry?
These items can be in contact with water and can last you a lifetime with proper care.
When the jewelry starts to get dull, use the jewelry polishing cloth that is provided with every purchase.
To clean them, wash with lukewarm water and soap.
Don't sleep with the jewelry and store the jewelry in a dry and cool place to prevent unnecessary wear and tear.

Do not wear these items to the shower, pool, or gym, and keep the jewelry away from water.
Stay away from chemicals that can sit on your necklace (e.g. perfumes, chlorine, and bleach).
Don't sleep with the jewelry and store the jewelry in a dry and cool place to prevent from tarnishing.
What is the difference between gold filled vs. gold plated jewelry?
Gold filled materials contain 100x more real gold or silver components compared to plated jewelry and is a more durable option for everyday wear.
Comparable to gold plated jewelry, it has less gold or silver components.
How long does gold filled vs. gold plated jewelry last?
If the jewelry stays away from water, both gold filled and gold plated jewelry can last for a very long time. The gold plating I use to make jewelry has a special e-coating that makes the finish last longer than the normal gold plating you find in stores.
The gold plated jewelry from Lovassion can last for about 3-5 years if taken good care of. Gold filled jewelry can last for a lifetime if properly cared for.
